Senior Database Administrator

    Now you have the chance to join our company as a Database Administrator!

    We are looking for a new colleague to support and operate databases for airline applications in an enterprise datacenter in cloud and local database solutions. As a Senior Database Administrator you would be involved also in planning of migrations, implementations and daily operation.

You will be responsible for:

  • Administration and support of SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL)
  • Planning and implementation of database migrations into cloud
  • Monitoring the database servers
  • Ensure high-availability solutions
  • Opening and handling of incidents
  • Keeping contact with providers and relevant departments
  • Troubleshoot of database problems and outages according to the documentations
  • Solving service requests for the customers
  • Managing database related problems
  • Routine activities
  • Document changes / support work

You are looking for us, if You have:

  • Experience in operating database solutions
  • Experience in Linux and Windows platforms
  • Knowledge of standard SQL
  • Experience in automatization (shell programming, awk, perl, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ORACLE and minimum 1 other database products such as MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Experience in monitoring of SQL instances with system management tools
  • Knowledge of Backup and (Disaster-)Recovery Concept
  • High level problem solving skills, appropriate communication skills and customer orientation
  • Self-motivation at the follow-ups of incidents
  • Ability to work in team
  • Willingness to provide 3rd level stand-by support and travel if necessary(max. 10%)
