Executive Pastry Chef

    Matild Palace a Luxury Collection Hotel® is looking for Executive Pastry Chef, who shares passion for excellence and to provide excitement in everything you do. In this position you will provide leadership and management for the Kitchen Pastry Department by establishing plans of character, integrity, and quality which result in the long-range continued growth and profitability of the department, division and Hotel.

Core Activities

  • Leading the Pastry Team
  • Ensuring culinary standards and responsibilities are met
  • Develops, designs and creates new ideas and items for pastry kitchen
  • Recognizes superior quality products, presentations and flavor
  • Assists the Executive Chef with menu development associated with pastry
  • Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
  • Manages day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis.
  • Maintaining Culinary Goals

Requirements:

    • 5-7 years previous experience in 5* hotel / multiple culinary/food & beverage department head position
    • Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
    • Experience gained abroad and English knowledge are desirable
    • Excellent organization and communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
    • Highly responsible & reliable personality
    • Proactive, flexible and guest-oriented person
