Responsibilities
Role Overview
Reporting to the General Manager, the HR Manager is responsible for the management of the country’s HR
function covering but not limited to employee relations, development and training of employees and HR administration.
Activities
• Provision of strategic support for the G&P leadership and management teams throughout the country.
• Strong knowledge of new and existing employment legislation and application. Having the ability to introduce
change and ensure full legal compliance.
• Fully focussed on the HR Strategy to successfully recruit and retain employees.
• Introduction and support of change initiatives across the business.
• Monitoring, analysing and utilise HR KPI statistical analysis and trends to support Management decision making.
Produce monthly KPI statistics to forward to group HR Manager.
• Delivery of commercial, risk assessed and timely ER case management services in relation to all people
management issues (disciplinary, capability, grievance, and absence etc.).
• In conjunction with the group HR Manager co-ordinate a HR strategy to introduce and implement all legally
compliant actions to reduce absence and staff turnover, ensure constant focus to drive down the level of
absenteeism / turnover throughout the country.
• Influencing and shaping delivery of the performance management system.
• Ensure the on-time delivery of the company appraisal process.
• Using the appraisal process as a guide ensures the training needs identified are addressed and a suitable training
plan is implemented to develop our employees.
• Ensure the delivery of appropriate HR policies including motivational programmes to support good employee
relations and promotion of a positive working culture.
• Delivery of recruitment, reward and recognition strategies to ensure that the Organisation can attract, reward and
retain high performing employees.
• Management and development of HR administrative staff.
Requirements
• Experience working in an HR Manager level role, preferably within the automotive manufacturing sector.
• Demonstrable employee relations experience is essential.
• Communicate clearly and concisely at all levels, with excellent verbal and written communications and exhibiting
strong listening skills.
• Excellent organisation/time management skills.
• Well organised with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Able to use Microsoft Office suite of tools.
• Proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, ‘can do’ approach towards work.
• Able to work confidentially and to exercise discretion and sensitivity.
