  • Develop, manage and maintain FDM program  to ensuring compliance with ICAO guidance, EASA and local regulations;
  • Develop and maintain FDM program related processes and procedures in coordination with the Senior Manager Safety and SMS Manager;
  • Liaison with the relevant stakeholders regarding the FDM database and the output from the tool, including recovering of the data;
  • Performing daily assessments of collected FDM data in cooperation with FDM Captains;
  • Performing statistical and trend analysis of safety events captured by FDM;
  • Ensure that hazards identified through FDM are communicated to the responsible manager;  
  • Taking part in internal safety investigations by providing related FDM analysis;
  • Performing Safety Performance Monitoring by FDM related SPI’s;
  • Continuously improving company FDM and support SMS improvement;
  • Following industry Flight Data Analysis trends and worldwide safety events;
  • Develop and manage LOSA (Line operation safety audit) program;
  • Supports the OPS Safety Manager with administration of the FDM efforts to ensure analysis of flight data for improved flight safety;
  • Actively manages Flight Data Analyst team, initiates SAG and if required other team meetings
  • Oversees data collection process of aircraft fleet in conjunction with Maintenance and Engineering departments;
  • Oversees systematic approach for data protection and confidentiality of the analyzed data is ensured;
  • Supply reports to Senior Manager Safety with summarized data on flight data analysis, trend reports, root cause analysis and suggested corrective actions to utilize safe and effective SMS;
  • Recognises the FDM program deviations and take steps as appropriate to ensure FDM protocols are kept;
  • Participate SRB and management evaluation to review event criteria list, review required changes for FDA program;
  • Coordinates, develops, verifies and validates aircraft specific event definitions and procedures to alter thresholds and various limitation exceedances for company SOP;
  • Liaise with FDA software providers, Competent authority, FDA Captain and Safety Captains
  • Assist to OPS Safety Manager and maintenance department with event investigation when required;
  • Provides summary of Identified hazards, safety and security issues, mismatches in company procedures and deviations from company procedures directly to Safety Manager;
  • Performs specialized studies and fulfils special data requests;
  • Creates FDM department publications and manuals;
  • Prepare investigation reports that include the facts, analysis, conclusions, and recommendations associated with an event;
  • Determine, based on outcome of investigation, appropriate corrective actions and submit those corrective actions to SAG;
  • Assist in the coordination of corrective actions with operating departments and facilitate Operational Risk Management techniques within the organization to mitigate identified risks;
  • Reviews corrective action responses to inspections and internal evaluations findings for adequacy;
  • Represent the safety team at relevant industry and company meetings, industry conferences and training events;
  • Performs and act in accordance with company established standards and procedures.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Have significant experience in FDM and knowledge on safety management principles and aeronautical regulations (EASA, ICAO, IOSA);
  • Have excellent computer skills and a high understanding of MS Office and other data analysis tools;
  • Have good analytical skills, be able to think creatively and collect and analyze information, show initiative;
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, ability to work, plan and organize autonomously.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor degree in aviation, engineering, technology or related area;
  • Excellent knowledge of safety management principles and risk management;
  • Experience with Aerobytes or similar FDM systems;
  • Experience with LOSA program is advantage;
  • Flight data analysis and/or aviation risk management experience;
  • Previous work experience, in air carrier operations; quality control, compliance, maintenance, operations, safety or a combination of these areas;
  • Active or former pilot license on A320 family or similar type is advantage;
  • Experience with data analysis, data mining, Big Data, statistics, etc. is advantage.
