Sensor Fusion Engineer

aiDrive is an inherently scalable self-driving full-stack software offered to automotive OEMs and Tier1s. Utilizing an economical vision-first redundant sensor setup aiDrive offers a safe autonomous experience. Relying on powerful artificial intelligence and robust sensor fusion it is prepared for self-driving in any environment, climate, or driving culture. Its simulator tested and real-world proven autonomous valet parking and highway autopilot capabilities are under constant public road testing in Hungary and in the US.


You'll be responsible for environment perception algorithm development and software development skills for driver assistance systems and automated driving. The algorithm and software development will be especially in the field of environment perception using computer vision, LIDAR and radar.

  • Develop reliable, accurate, and scalable solutions across a wide range of operational scenarios.  
  • Develop robust real-time algorithms for environment perception, especially for localization and complex functional purposes  
  • Screen for state-of-the-art sensors and algorithms for environment perception, especially regarding cameras, lidar and radar
  • Integrate sensors and test them and contribute to the overall architecture design of in-vehicle systems
  • Develop engineering requirements and write documentation

Key Qualifications

  • MSc/PhD degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience programming in C++
  • Vehicle state estimation, using real-time sensor fusion techniques including Bayesian/Kalman filters (EKF / UKF)
  • Processing raw sensor measurements, including inertial sensors  

Considered as a plus

  • Experience with C++ programming operating on Linux, with modern tool chains and development work practices
  • GPS signal processing experience
