Job summary:

Job summary:
The IT Support Technician role is to contribute to the smooth operation of the IT support and the Imerys computer network. This includes planning, configuring, installing, maintaining network hardware, software, and communication links whilst ensuring minimal network downtime occurs. Diagnosis, resolving and documenting hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, providing end users with appropriate assistance.

Responsibilities:
The focus will be on Hungary (Hódmezővásárhely) for field service and urgent issues and providing support to other countries across EMEA/Globe.
  • Planning, configuring, installing, maintaining IT hardware, software. 
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) for mobiles & tablets
  • Provide remote IT Support across EMEA
  • Perform installations, upgrades & deployment of workstations to Microsoft Windows 11
  • Provide IT support for industrial plant and offices
  • Local assistance for the L2/L3 System Administrators (Server, Network, Application, ERP)
  • Participation on the Imerys’ group projects for local assistance
  • Communication links whilst ensuring minimal IT downtime occurs
  • Diagnosis, resolving and documenting hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate way
  • Providing end users with appropriate assistance through ticketing system
  • Perform regular site visits to remote sites with engagement with local managers for local IT Support
  • Engagement with business units, production environments and managers for improving IT efficiencies 
  • Identify and prioritize, and resolve end user requests, including the monitoring, tracking, and coordination of Support functions
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries, able to communicate across global support teams
  • Support users in the use of IT equipment by providing necessary training and advice
  • Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues
  • Implement, manage, upgrade and maintain the CMDB for IT assets
  • Create, maintain Knowledge articles for IT technical team and end users
  • Troubleshooting & Problem solving of Workstation related problems

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in IT Support
  • IT related Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • Fluency in Hungarian language is a must
  • Microsoft workstations (7/8/10 & 11) -  (advanced knowledge)
  • MS Active Directory users, groups, policies, management - (Good knowledge)
  • Microsoft servers -  (basic knowledge)
  • Network Connectivity - (basic knowledge of routers, switches & wireless)
  • Google Workspace, MDM - (desirable)
  • Knowledge in Industrial IT (SCADA, Industry 4.0) - (desirable)
  • Helpdesk Experience  including use of internal ITSM application
  • Very good communication in English. - other languages an advantage
  • Participation in the “Out-Of-Hours On-Call” Rota. 
  • Curiosity in New IT Technologies
  • Driving License
  • Able to work with on site hardware/mounting/cabling/patching and so forth
