Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and support company IT hardware and end-user devices
  • Provides hands-on user support, including on-site troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN and WLAN environments
  • Oversees all IT-related purchasing and budget usage; works with accounting to develop budget.
  • Manage the users and computers accounts on national level.
  • Comply with company standards in respect to software used and configuration of hardware.
  • Support users with problem resolution on timely basis, manage helpdesk tickets.
  • Cooperates with IT Operations Director and/or external support company on timely problem resolution. Approves monthly billing of licenses and support.
  • Make sure only approved software is installed on company’s computers. Advice management of using only properly licensed software.
  • Enforces POS Media computer usage rules on national level, checks periodically if all employees are following it. Advises management in case of rules breached.
  • Analyze quarterly the need for hardware and software upgrades, thereby determining the effect of any investment versus the related benefits and advising management objectively on economic and technical aspects
  • Maintains Assets database in company internal online system.
  • Keep a database of suppliers of hardware / software and telecommunication services (phones, internet). Select these suppliers with respect to economical pricing, fastest delivery, guarantee period, track record, etc.  Conduct once or twice per year a price evaluation to ensure that the preferred supplier is still the most competitive.
  • Ensure that in case of absence due to holiday or sickness one assistant within POS Media or an external consultant can temporarily take over the IT activities for the time of the absence.

Requirements

Personal competencies

  • Customer-oriented, supportive and clear communicator
  • Hands-on, proactive problem-solver with strong sense of ownership
  • Structured and process-oriented mindset, with strong follow-up discipline
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and incidents based on business impact
  • Comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with local and central IT teams


Technical requirements:

  • Good understanding of PC hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environment
  • Experience with Windows Server (2019/2022) and basic infrastructure management
  • Practical experience with network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, WLAN)
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (routing, switching)
  • Experience with ticketing systems and structured incident handling is an advantage
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Intune or similar is a plus
  • Exposure to cloud environments (e.g. Microsoft 365, AWS) is an advantage
  • Technical secondary school or university degree
  • At least intermediate English (B2)
