Responsibilities

Location: Budapest (with regular travel across CEE) 
 
 
Your Role 
As Head of HR CEE, you are the senior HR business partner for the region, covering multiple countries with diverse labor markets, cultures and regulatory frameworks. The organization is well established – your mission is to increase effectiveness, leadership quality and workforce performance in a demanding environment. 
You lead an existing regional HR team, work closely with the CEE Management Team and report directly to the Chief People Officer. You are also an active member of the European HR Leadership Team. 
 
Your Key Responsibilities 

  • Act as trusted strategic and operational HR partner to senior leaders across the CEE region 
  • Strengthen leadership capability, accountability and people management quality 
  • Coordinate, drive and monitor leadership and sales training initiatives across the CEE region 
  • Drive workforce effectiveness, labor cost transparency and performance‑oriented HR steering 
  • Monitor and translate HR KPIs (e.g. attrition, absenteeism, engagement) into concrete actions 
  • Support change, transformation and restructuring initiatives, ensuring professional employee relations and communication 
  • Ensure consistent HR governance and labor law compliance while respecting local requirements 
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing regional HR Business Partner team 
  • Contribute to European HR initiatives with a clear focus on business impact and execution 

Requirements

What You Bring 

  • University degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field 
  • Several years of experience in a senior HR leadership role across multiple countries, ideally in CEE 
  • Strong knowledge of labor legislation and employee relations in an international context 
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in complex, matrix organizations 
  • Experience supporting organizations through change, performance pressure or transformation 
  • Confident, pragmatic personality with the ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively 
  • Strong intercultural communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region 
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German and additional CEE languages are a strong advantage
