Finance Manager

Job purpose

    To provide financial leadership for the Hungarian, Croatian, Serbian and Slovenian markets. The Finance Manager is a member of the Country Leadership Team, managing the finance function in order to achieve short and long term goals of the company. Working with Operations and all support functions to drive performance and growth and align company activities to Board approved plans. To support the business by providing timely and reliable financial reports and ensure necessary compliance with Group, statutory, tax and legal requirements. The Finance Manager position reports to the Head of Finance for all CE markets.

Your challenges:

  • Represent the finance function at the country' Leadership Team level; provide financial and strategic advice to improve business results. Partner with all departments to provide financial data, analytical resources and tools to ensure planned results are achieved
  • Coordinate and oversee budgeting for markets under responsibility. Support preparation of rolling forecasts
  • Monitor G&A cost performance, identify and investigate budget variances and their related causes (budget control). Initiate corrective actions to minimize G&A over-runs
  • Drive initiatives to continuously improve the financial processes in order to make the finance function more efficient and effective. Support financial processes standardization and centralization
  • Ensure proper and timely statutory, statistical and tax (CIT, VAT, real estate) reporting for markets under responsibility. Support local and global audit process
  • Support growth and capital investment decisions, including organic capex, M&A activity and new business models introduction with proper analytical and integration activities
  • Ensure adequate liquidity to support local operations and access to necessary banking services
  • Develop, train and coach finance team under direct responsibility

Requirements:

  • University degree– preferably Finance, Economy or Accounting
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, including experience in managing teams
  • Proven leadership and execution capabilities, ability to influence and motivate teams and cooperate with Senior stakeholders in shaping and driving local strategic priorities
  • Excellent knowledge of statutory GAAPs, good knowledge of relevant IASs and IFRSs
  • Background in finance or accounting and good knowledge of local regulatory and tax environments
  • Experience in working with financial/accounting systems (ERP)
  • Experience in facilitating reporting processes and establishing financial control tools
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken
