Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning, organizing, and coordinating events, meetings, conferences, and social functions from initial enquiry through to execution
  • Leading, supervising, and coordinating a team of 2 employees within the Events department
  • Understanding client requirements and developing tailored event concepts and solutions
  • Preparing proposals, quotations, contracts, function sheets, and all related event documentation
  • Managing and overseeing all operational aspects of events to ensure smooth execution and exceptional guest experience
  • Anticipating and resolving operational challenges or last-minute issues in a professional and solution-oriented manner
  • Conducting final event checks to ensure all setups, services, and standards are met prior to event commencement
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and third parties through clear and professional communication
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning process and during the event itself
  • Collaborating closely with internal departments to ensure effective coordination and successful event delivery
  • Monitoring event performance, guest feedback, and operational results, and preparing post-event reports when required
  • Supporting the continuous development and improvement of the Events department through proactive ideas and initiatives
  • Additional responsibilities and tasks may be assigned at any time according to the operational needs of the business and the hotel.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Previous 5 years of experience in events ideally in the luxury 5 star hotel industry with relevant background
  • Problem solving, analytical, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
  • Swiss work permit holder or EU ID / Passport holder
  • Fluent in German & English is a must
  • Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desired results.
