Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation of the company strategy across internal and external projects.
- Lead complex implementation and operational projects for government, public-sector, defence, institutional and commercial clients, covering software, hardware and data-delivery solutions.
- Define and align project scope with stakeholders, and take full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, risks and quality across the entire lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functional internal teams and external partners (including subcontractors), ensuring effective collaboration and on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Build strong, constructive relationships with customer stakeholders, supporting decision-making, clarifying requirements and ensuring smooth execution, including occasional on-site visits to clients in Germany and across Europe when required.
- Plan and secure required resources, set priorities and develop realistic, milestone-driven schedules to meet agreed deadlines.
- Proactively identify and resolve project challenges, effectively managing changes in scope, schedule, resources and budget.
- Ensure complete and up-to-date project documentation, successful project closure, formal deliverable handover and post-project reviews (lessons learned).
- Promote project management best practices, contribute to continuous PMO improvement and support proposal development through work package structuring, timeline planning and execution strategy design.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering implementation and/or operational projects.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably in IT, engineering or STEM environments.
- Experience working with grant-funded and/or commercial contract-based projects.
- Strong planning, reporting, and project documentation skills.
- Practical knowledge of Agile or other project management methodologies.
- Experience managing long-term relationships with strategic partners.
- Fluent English, German language at minimum C1 level (spoken and written).
- MSc or PhD degree.
Nice To Have:
- Experience working with multi-sector clients (government, public-sector, defense, institutional, business).
- Experience contributing to proposal preparation.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with hardware–software systems operating in global and/or remote environments.
- Familiarity with astronomy and/or optical observations of the night sky.
What we offer
- Both B2B and employment contract arrangements are available, with employment contract availability varying by region.
- Remote-first work model, with headquarters in Poland (Bydgoszcz).
- Monthly compensation of EUR 6,000–7,000 gross (employment contract) or EUR 48-53 net/hour (B2B). Please note that final compensation may vary depending on the candidate's region and qualifications.

We are looking for a delivery-focused Senior Project Manager to take full ownership of complex projects in a highly technical environment.
This role is designed for someone who values structure, accountability, and clear results. You will lead implementation and operational projects for government, institutional and commercial clients, ensuring disciplined execution, transparent reporting, and reliable delivery.
