We are looking for a
SENIOR PRODUCTION ENGINEER
to join our Operations and Production Excellence Team!
About us:
The team provides global functional leadership and support for the MOL Group Upstream Operating Companies and Non-Operating Ventures. As the part and the most important discipline of the operation is production optimization and production technology, as well as the operational maintenance and integrity and process safety management.
Main tasks:
- Contribute to achieve the improved and optimized quality and performance of global operations and production excellence to support MOL’s strategy with priorities of HSE, productivity and costs
- Continue to develop and provide transparent and uniformed Production Management Framework Standard for MOL group, to attain the most important and key production excellence target
- Lead the MOL Group production forecasting yearly and quarterly updates, collaborating with each Operating Companies and Non-Operating Ventures to ensure best in class forecasting, including identification of risk and opportunities
- Identification of production optimization opportunities in mature assets (CEE focus area), technically maturing opportunities for an investment decision, and occasionally supporting Production and/or Drilling and Workover with execution and implementation
- Supporting the new MOL GROUP strategy 2030, related to the Carbon Capture Utilization and Geothermal Energy Potential, giving advice and right directions to the future expectations and requirements
- Selection, design, and investment proposal process for well workovers including all interventions for production optimization (ALS, re-perforations, re-completions, well’s stimulations etc.)
- Metering assurance solutions to ensure proper measurements from wellhead to the hydrocarbon sales point
- Effective leadership and communication interface with internal stakeholders including Drilling, Production, Procurement, HSE, Facilities, Laboratory, and in-field production operators
- Occasional interfacing with Partners at Technical Committee Meetings on various CEE and International assets, 3rd party service providers, etc.
- MOL Hungary level, completely supporting MOL Hungary operations
- MOL Kalegan non-operating asset, in the field of Shaikan, production technology with the innovative ideas support
- Competitive working on INA Croatia project and better production optimization performances
The ideal candidate:
- received a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical optional)
- has minimum 10 -15 years relevant experience in Development studies and Production operations
- gained experience with drafting investment proposals for production optimizations including workovers, interventions, stimulations, and artificial lift systems (ALS)
- has experience with multiple ALS types (ESP, SRP, GL, PCP, JP etc.) and well’s stimulation selection and design
- obtained experience with Petroleum Experts suite, Sub Pump, Rod Star, OFM, fluid composition software, stimulation software, and MS Office suite
- if having prior experience with mature field redevelopment, it is a plus
Other competencies, skills:
- prior experience with mentoring of young Production Technologists
- effective team player with drive, initiative, integrity, multi-cultural experience, and excellent communication skills
- Fluent English
- Hungarian and/or Croatian language is an advantage
