Responsibilities

Keep data moving: Build, run, and refine data pipelines and workflows (Python, Airflow/Cloud Composer) so they're reliable, fast, and easy to change
Shape our data models: Use BigQueryand Cloud Spanner to design wellstructured, highperformance datasets for analytics and machinelearning use cases
Privacy by design: Apply leastprivilege access, encryption, audit logging, and dataquality checks to meet GDPR/CCPA.
Make things observable: Create clear dashboards and alerts, take part in an international oncall rotation, and run calm, constructive postmortems.

Requirements

Several years of experience as a Data Engineer (all genders) working with productiongrade, distributed data systems
Handson GCP experience: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Airflow/Cloud Composer, and identity & access management
Strong Python (tested, readable code), experience with Athena and advanced SQLskills
A careful approach to data security and privacy, especially with personal data
A practical mindset, clear communication, and a strong sense of ownership
Comfortable working asynchronously with colleagues from the US Eastcoast
Excellent English skills to contribute within an international company

Preferred Qualifications

CI/CD for data (e.g., GitLab CI or Cloud Build),Terraform, and Docker
Experience with dbt or a similar transformation framework
Data catalog/lineage tools (DataHub, Collibra,BigQueryData Catalog)
Streaming data ingestion (Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Kafka) or realtime feature stores
Experience withTableau,MongoDB,PostgreSQL, and costefficient query tuning onBigQuery

You'll make sensible architecture choices, set good engineering practices, patiently mentor juniors, and help others do their best work.
