Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines in cloud and hybrid environments
Contribute to the architecture of enterprise data platforms with a system-oriented mindset
Work with large-scale datasets using SQL, Spark, and cloud-native tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions
Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and reliability
Support and mentor junior and mid-level data engineers
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and best practice definitions
Implement and maintain CI/CD processes for data workflows
Work with streaming and batch processing solutions where applicable

Requirements

6+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
Strong system-level thinking and experience designing complex data solutions
Proven experience in enterprise environments
Solid background in data management and data engineering practices
Strong SQL skills (Oracle preferred)
Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Spark
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure is a strong advantage)
Practical experience with Databricks
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Ability to mentor and support other engineers
Proactive, ownership-driven mindset

Nice-to-have

Experience with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming), Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks/tools, Experience in hybrid (cloud + on-premise) data architectures, Tech lead experience or readiness to step into such a role
