Responsibilities

Design of complex and scalable data solutions on the AWS cloud platform
Development and implementation of complex and scalable data solutions on the AWS cloud platform
Design and optimization of data pipelines
Writing clean, efficient and maintainable SQL and Python code
Development and maintenance of shell scripts for automation
Utilization of Docker containers for containerizing applications and data pipelines
Establishment and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable deployments
Automation of data pipeline processes
Delivery of solutions on AWS data services
Design and implementation of data modeling and data warehousing solutions
Ownership and management of technical aspects of deliveries at component level
Participation in project planning, task estimation, testing and liaising with business stakeholders
Provision of technical leadership to smaller teams
Creation of technical documentation

Requirements

Proficiency in SQL and at least one imperative programming language, particularly Python
Experience with shell scripting
Familiarity with Docker
Experience with at least one CI/CD tool such as Github Actions or GitLab CI/CD
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering with focus on cloud-based solutions
Experience delivering complex and scalable data solutions on cloud platform data services, primarily AWS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice-to-have

Experience with dbt or SQLMesh
Strong team player with proactive mindset
Great problem-solving skills, analytical thinking and structured approach to decision-making
