Responsibilities

Capacity management of global networks
Capacity planning using multiple complex data sources and trend analysis to forecast port demand
Production and management of platform specific capacity plans to meet forecast demand
Management of process issues associated with deployed platforms
Consultation with key stakeholders including Associate Network Planners and Technical Delivery Managers
Implementation of planning rules at device and network level
Analysis of bid requirements and provision of technical answers
Service delivery support and issue resolution across build functions
Build and configuration of network components working from detailed design documentation
Monitoring the network
Reviewing forecasts
Aligning resources for FOA work
Ensuring network design is fit for purpose
Ensuring adherence to the operating model with commercial rigor
Front door assessment, FoA enablement, BRF
Point escalation and resolution for capacity issues
Bid response

Requirements

Experience in the international network planning arena
Experience in interacting and negotiating in situations involving multiple cultures
Technical understanding of SDH, Ethernet, OTN and DWDM functions and configurations
Strong background in international telecoms services and conventions
Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written to people of all levels and functions
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice-to-have

Strong knowledge of global telecoms regulatory environment
Financial awareness and ability to manage budgets
Experience in operational system stack and especially in global network inventory systems and tools
Technical understanding of IP and SDWAN functions and configurations
