Are you ready to play a key role in shaping Decathlon's payment strategy?
We are looking for an Omnichannel Payment Specialist for our Hungarian Online team who thrives in the world of payment solutions, capable of assessing customer needs, thinking strategically, and managing complex projects from start to finish. If this motivates you, your place is with us!

Context
The goal of this position is to ensure our customers encounter the most modern, convenient, and fastest payment solutions, whether they are ordering online or shopping in-store. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and synchronizing payment solutions across both physical and digital channels. You will negotiate with banking and fintech partners, use a data-driven approach to optimize the customer experience and transaction costs, and help build a future-proof payment ecosystem. You will work closely with the international Decathlon team.

Comprehensive Payment Strategy (Offline & Online)

  • As the person responsible for the payment ecosystem, you will coordinate processes between stores and online channels to ensure a unified customer experience.
  • In addition to strategy creation, you will manage implementation in close cooperation with legal, finance, and IT departments.
  • You will be responsible for selecting credit and BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) partners, launching products, and developing strategies to strengthen modern financing solutions.
  • You will manage the full lifecycle of physical and digital gift cards across all channels.

Payment Provider Management

  • Maintain relationships with banks, acquirers, and fintech providers; manage competitive bidding and negotiate fees.
  • Responsible for establishing contractual terms to ensure the most favorable conditions for the company.

E-commerce Product Ownership (Lower Funnel)

  • Manage the checkout process and related online elements (cart, profile).
  • Incorporate offline experiences into online developments.
  • Identify and resolve the causes of payment errors in collaboration with the international development team.

Innovation and Financial Synergy

  • Introduce omnichannel solutions that strengthen the interoperability between online and offline channels.
  • Continuously analyze transaction costs and provide optimization proposals to financial leadership.
  • You have at least 3-5 years of experience gained in a retail and/or digital environment and understand the logic of omnichannel operations.
  • You have a strategic mindset: you focus not only on daily operations but also on long-term business impact.
  • You have negotiation experience and can confidently represent business interests against partners and suppliers.
  • You have a solid financial background and understand how payment solutions work.
  • You speak English confidently.
  • Fluent in Hungarian is a strong plus.
