Responsibilities

Ensuring understanding of delivery scope and solution alignment with business needs
Producing and agreeing network delivery plans and managing dependencies
Planning and monitoring activities from scoping to live delivery
Ensuring delivery agents review, size, and commit to delivery and costs
Developing working relationships and communicating with project stakeholders
Supporting engagement with third party suppliers on network solution requirements
Understanding and articulating designs with key stakeholders
Identifying prerequisites to network deliveries and ensuring their delivery
Running regular project review forums covering risks, issues, finances, status, and resources
Reviewing own work and peers' outputs to identify errors or potential issues
Managing RAG status and expectations with stakeholders
Supporting identification and resolution of issues and defects
Identifying risks to network deliveries and taking corrective actions
Supporting components of technical projects with limited risk or business impact
Meeting committed finance figures for network deliveries
Making recommendations for process improvements
Identifying and implementing changes to improve quality and reduce costs
Providing regular progress reports to stakeholders
Engaging with stakeholders to agree post implementation testing, trial, pilot, and launch plans
Ensuring scoping of end-to-end testing

Requirements

Professional qualification or accreditation
Project management skills
Communication skills
Strong delivery management skills including creating and delivering network delivery plans, managing risks, issues, dependencies, finances, and resources
Business acumen including knowledge of business strategy, organisational performance drivers, and financial literacy
Experience working alongside colleagues or leading teams under intense stress and pressure
Experience developing quotes, business cases, and cost avoidance strategies
Experience developing internal networks of strong working relationships
Experience advocating and applying technology in new contexts
Experience handling office politics and disagreements while maintaining personal integrity
Experience suggesting cost savings to assist budgets
Experience delivering results with unclear deliverables
Experience using business knowledge to sell, negotiate, or persuade
Experience tackling process and policy obstacles to delivery
Experience using and preferably accreditation in a project methodology such as Prince2
Coaching experience and ability to matrix manage teams
Knowledge and experience of business operations, strategy, financial and operational strategic analysis
Knowledge or experience in BT product portfolio and BT’s concept to market processes
Experience in continuous and business improvement
