About the Role

We’re looking for a Medior Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You’ll work on designing and developing backend services and APIs using Java and MuleSoft, helping us connect systems, streamline operations, and deliver seamless digital experiences.

Already experienced with MuleSoft? Great. Coming from a Java background and eager to learn? Even better – we’ll provide training and mentorship to help you grow into MuleSoft.

• Design and develop APIs and backend services using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Java.

• Build scalable, secure microservices and integration solutions.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features.

• Continuously improve DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ensure platform compliance with internal and external standards (e.g., Google, Apple).

• Monitor and optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and deploy fixes.

• Support teams across 8 countries in leveraging group-level DevOps capabilities.

• Identify gaps in our digital landscape and help design smart, scalable solutions.

• Provide Level 2 technical support and build tools to improve reliability and user experience.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering (or equivalent experience). Master’s degree is a plus.

• Coding bootcamp grads or self-taught developers with strong portfolios are also welcome.

Experience

• 2+ years of backend development experience (Java or MuleSoft).

• Experience working in agile teams and CI/CD environments.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.

Technical Skills

• Strong backend development skills with Java or MuleSoft

• Understanding of API lifecycle, integration patterns, and scalable architecture.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Microsoft Azure DevOps.

• Familiarity with tools like Anypoint Studio, Design Center, and Management Center.

• Knowledge of infrastructure (servers, VPNs, load balancers) is a plus.

• Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and Microsoft Office Suite.
