Further development of existing optimization components of the airline management system Netline/Crew or Netline Scheduling area
Implementation and experimentation on new and efficient optimization approaches
Recording customer requirements for the commissioning of existing optimization components
Development of customer-specific rules
Calibration of existing optimization components in close coordination with the customer, e.g., in benchmarks or implementation projects
Preparation and delivery of specialist presentations at internal and external events, e.g., delivering benchmark results to customers, running workshops with customers
Development and sharing of technical know-how
Implementation of new features and writing code adhering to software engineering standards

Subject-related studies with a focus in computer science, mathematics, business mathematics, or operations research
Knowledge of various optimization methods in the field of discrete optimization, e.g. combinatorial optimization, linear programming, constraint programming
Several years of practical experience in dealing with various optimization methods, preferably in the field of personnel resource planning or column generation
Solid knowledge of the programming language Python
Knowledge of Linux environment and GitHub
Passion for software quality and design
High level of commitment and initiative
High resilience and pronounced flexibility
Good communication skills and assertiveness
Strong customer and service orientation
Ability to work methodically and analytically to solve complex problems in depth
Ability and willingness to discuss ideas with the team and community
Very good written and spoken English skills
Interest in running complex optimization processes in a cloud environment
