Responsibilities

Lead high-priority, enterprise-level projects that directly impact organizational performance.
Design, develop, and maintain custom data models and algorithms to answer critical business questions and optimize operations.
Conduct advanced research, statistical analysis, and modeling on structured and unstructured data sources.
Deliver actionable insights and findings through clear, data-driven storytelling to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Oversee model validation and performance monitoring to ensure robustness and scalability.
Partner with teams across IT, Finance, Revenue Cycle, and Operations to address complex data challenges.
Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level data scientists, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
Evaluate new data science tools, vendors, and technologies to improve analytics capabilities.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, guiding data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Demonstrate a commitment to operational excellence, patient care, and company-wide service standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics) required; Master’s in Data Science preferred.
7+ years of professional data science experience (healthcare, EHR data, or medical informatics experience highly preferred).
Deep expertise in machine learning techniques (clustering, neural networks, decision trees, etc.) and advanced statistical methods.
Proven ability to work with large, complex, and incomplete data sets to uncover actionable insights.
Advanced SQL database management knowledge and strong proficiency in programming languages for data science.
Expertise in the data science project lifecycle and strong project management skills.
Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Skilled in time series forecasting, regression modeling, A/B testing, clustering, and statistical testing.
Strong customer service orientation, problem-solving ability, and a track record of delivering results.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, and minimally supervised environment.
