Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operational Management
- Day‑to‑day leadership and professional support of the Financial Controller Operational Investment team
- Mentoring, developing and monitoring the performance of team members
- Coordinating the resolution of operational issues, managing capacity and priorities
- Close collaboration with front-, mid- and back‑office teams as well as senior management
Process Development & System Implementation
- Developing, automating and standardizing reporting and accounting processes
- Identifying system development needs and leading implementation initiatives
Professional Responsibilities
- Coordinating monthly, quarterly and annual closings under international and local GAAP
- Overseeing the consolidation of the Real Estate portfolio
- Supporting internal and external audit cycles
- Supporting the introduction of new investment structures, instruments and strategies
- Providing expert oversight of the accounting treatment of special transactions

Requirements

Requirements
- Relevant university degree (finance, accounting; a master's degree or investment‑related qualification is an advantage)
- Fluent English language skills
- Minimum 4-7 years of experience in financial controlling, investment operations or accounting
- Knowledge of investment products (public/private assets, real estate, private equity, derivatives)
- Understanding of IFRS or strong interest in developing this knowledge
- Proactive mindset, strong communication skills and leadership attitude
- Advantage: experience with Power BI, SQL, VBA or other automation tools

Our international financial services Partner is expanding its investment management team in Budapest and is looking for new colleagues to join as Investment Operations Leader.

This is a newly forming local team, where the Leader will oversee the professional and operational management of the Financial Controller Operational Investment team during a transitional period. The role plays a pivotal part in shaping and operating the financial control processes of investment portfolios, developing reporting and operational systems, and providing high‑level technical support and continuous improvement across the operational framework.
