ABOUT US:
In the IT Services area, TCS implements the best in class solutions in the Business 4.0 era to enable strong digital foundations for our customers worldwide. We are working with a wide range of technologies and programming languages.
IF WE BREAK THIS ROLE DOWN INTO KEY TASKS, THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Analyze and resolve application issues escalated from Level 1 support.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement temporary or permanent fixes.
- Document resolutions and contribute to the knowledge base.
- Monitor application performance and logs using tools and custom scripts.
- Perform regular health checks and maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability.
- Debug Java/J2EE-based applications and identify backend issues.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to investigate and resolve data-related problems.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams for server, database, or network-related issues.
- Assist in application deployments, patching, and post-release validations.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU POSSESS:
- 3–5 years of experience in application support or software development.
- Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE frameworks, and MySQL.
- Experience with application servers (e.g., Tomcat, Apache) and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, XML/JSON, and web technologies.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Good understanding of ITIL processes and incident management.

- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack).

ABOUT YOUR CONTRACT
- Full time, indefinite.
- Working hours: 40 hours/week, office hours (hybrid).
- Legal requirements: You need to be to be currently eligible to work in Hungary.
