Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented HR & Payroll Administration Specialist to support our HR operations with a strong focus on employee onboarding, payroll preparation, and HR administration. The role works closely with the HR Generalist and external payroll partners to ensure accurate data handling, compliance, and smooth employee lifecycle administration.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration
  • Prepare HR documentation (subject to managerial approval)
  • Maintain accurate personnel files and employee records (physical and digital)
  • Perform filing, data entry, scheduling, and general HR administrative tasks
  • Act as a first point of contact for basic HR-related queries
  • Assist in updating HR policies and internal documentation

Payroll Preparation & Support
  • Collect and prepare monthly payroll-related data
  • Record absences, overtime, attendance, and benefits in the HR master system
  • Monitor and verify attendance and leave data
  • Submit monthly payroll data to external payroll providers
  • Follow up on payroll corrections, discrepancies, and adjustments
  • Cooperate with payroll partners during hiring and exit processes
  • Support employees with basic payroll- and benefits-related questions

HR Systems & Reporting
  • Administer and maintain the HR master software
  • Manage attendance and time-tracking systems
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and system integrity
  • Prepare HR reports (e.g. headcount, turnover, attendance)
  • Provide HR system support to staff and leadership

Recruitment Support
  • Post job advertisements on job boards and social media
  • Screen CVs and support candidate shortlisting
  • Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates

Onboarding & Offboarding (Local Hires)
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for locally hired employees
  • Ensure completion and collection of all required documentation
  • Support onboarding-related administrative tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (economics, finance, or related field), or a qualification in social security administration or payroll, in addition to another university degree
  • Experience in a similar payroll / HR administrative role
  • High level of English proficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hungarian
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent record-keeping and attention to detail
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Office, email, HR systems)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong focus on data accuracy and database management
