HR Business Partner

Your role in a nutshell:

Delivery of HR strategy and wider HR global agenda across the operations business area providing first class HR delivery service to all business partners in a consistent and compliant approach. Coaching relevant key stakeholders in line with HR principles. HRBP will be responsible for delivery of HR strategy and wider HR global agenda across the subjective operations business area providing first class HR delivery service to all business partners in a consistent and compliant approach. Coaching relevant key stakeholders in line with HR principles.  Headcount in excess of 216.

 

Main tasks and key responsibilities:

  • Coach the management team  in handling sensitive or complex HR issues and in their own personal   development including leadership and people management
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with HR colleagues
  • Drive employee engagement in line with DPDHL strategy and plans
  • Bring challenge and perspective to the business agenda
  • Play an active role within the leadership team
  • Champion business change and continuous improvement, leading and embedding business change plans in line with targets and initiatives
  • Manage commercial implications of new business activity
  • Support external stakeholder management and customer relationships during bid process
  • Participate in external events to illustrate HR’s value and service
  • Participate fully in key people related change decisions, anticipating and effectively dealing with any people issues
  • Understand local business context, issues and challenges to provide specific advice to Managers. Deliver HR solutions as appropriate to
  • Use nationally provided HR tools, processes and techniques to add value
  • Proactively use KPI Reports provided to identify trends and patterns – bring
  • Manage IR/ER issues escalated through HRBPs
     

Learning and development:

  • Accurately identify and translate the training needs into requirements for the Training and development

 

Talent and resourcing:

  • Support managers to identify and manage high performing / high potential individuals and ensure succession is in place for key positions
  • Facilitate the identification of talent, key positions & succession plans at all levels
  • Participate in the development of resourcing strategies to support the business and new business
  • Work with Managers to identify future people requirements and act upon them
  • Analise and manage trends across business area

 

Managing HR Coordinators:

  • Ensure HR priorities for operations are appropriately co-ordinated and resourced within the team.
  • Provide leadership in the business acumen and professional development of the HR team.

 

Compensations and benefits:

  • Participate in end of the year processes, while being responsible for own business unit
  • Ensure compliance to global and regional standards

 

Delivery of HR Services:

  • Ensure all HR activities are supporting the Strategic Priorities
  • Project Manage new business wins from a people perspective and manage ER related issues
  • Actively participate in new business development and build knowledge base of lessons learnt for successful and unsuccessful tenders
  • Support the bid process
  • Work collaboratively with HR colleagues to develop and improve policies and new ways of working that fit the business and legal requirements
  • Manage collective bargaining and collective disputes
  • Deliver and implement HR people processes, policies and services consistently. Act as a role model for the HR function as a whole and lead standardisation of processes in HR
  • Protect DHL’s position as an employer e.g. competitor activity around
  • Reward and Benefits and ensure DHL is seen as a competitive and attractive employer
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities across HR processes and procedures & escalate to relevant HR Manager where appropriate
  • Responsible for the management and set up and completion of any TUPE related activity

 

Budget preparation:

  • Budget preparation for trainings
  • Budget preparation for agency employees
  • Budget preparation for social and healthcare

 

People Management:

  • Responsible for management of HR team on subjective sites
  • Provide support and development opportunities to HR team members
  • Succession planning and development plans in line with corporate processes, identifying own successor
  • Ensure the HR team have the correct processes and tools to support first class HR service delivery

Skills & Experiences:

  • 5-10 years of experience in similar role
  • Ability to keep confidential information
  • University degree
  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Excellent planning, projects and change management skills
  • Experience with negotiating with Unions, Negotiation skills - plus
  • Strong escalation management experience and capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer and relationship management skills
