Responsibilities

  • Analyze requests received by the Service Desk through various channels (hotline, email, ticketing system) in accordance with troubleshooting guidelines, defined objectives, and SLAs, while adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Act as the first point of contact for IT users, providing immediate first-level support and solutions to end users.
  • Accept, categorize, and process incidents and service requests, resolving simpler tickets independently.
  • Perform password resets and account activation/deactivation.
  • Handle and resolve issues related to email accounts.
  • Maintain the knowledge base to ensure it remains accurate and up to date.
  • Process incidents and escalate them in writing to experienced colleagues and the Functional Lead when necessary.
  • Carry out basic application installations and assign user permissions.
  • Provide support to Service Desk Agent colleagues.

Requirements

  • You enjoy helping others solve problems (at work, in school, with family & friends)
  • You can stay calm and friendly even when someone is stressed or frustrated
  • You can explain tech in simple language, without jargon
  • You’re curious and not afraid to say “I don’t know yet, but I’ll find out”
  • Basic comfort with computers (Windows, browsers, Office/M365 or similar)
  • Excellent language skills in German and English language skills required
  • Proficiency in basic IT concepts and operations from an end-user perspective.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in customer service (retail, hospitality, call center, etc.)
  • Any hands-on tech interest: gaming setups, school IT projects, Discord/moderation, helping others with tech issues
  • Basic understanding of what a network, VPN, or remote work setup is
