Responsibilities

Design and development of GIS-based solutions, web applications, dashboards, and reporting solutions using Esri technologies
Analysis and optimization of existing GIS processes focusing on scalability, data quality, and operational efficiency
Support of GIS transformation and migration projects including data cleansing, quality assessment, and harmonization
Work with complex geospatial data models, metadata, and large datasets
Design of integration of GIS with other project and enterprise systems ensuring interoperability across different data sources
Support of data migrations and automation of recurring processes using technologies such as FME, SQL, or Python

Requirements

Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, or QGIS
Strong understanding of data cleansing, quality assessment, and harmonization ensuring accuracy and consistency of geospatial information
Practical experience with FME, SQL, and/or Python
Experience developing GIS web applications, dashboards, or reporting solutions
Familiarity with system integrations and large geospatial datasets
Familiarity with geospatial data models and metadata management
Experience handling large and complex datasets
Ability to assess existing GIS workflows and identify opportunities for improvement in line with Esri best practices
Contribution to complex GIS transformation or migration projects involving different GIS platforms or data environments
Customer- and service-oriented mindset committed to delivering high-quality results
Fluent communication in German and very good English skills

Nice-to-have

Experience in utility, energy, or infrastructure projects
Knowledge of transmission line and cable projects
Experience in GIS data migration from QGIS to Esri environments
Esri certifications and experience with large-scale Enterprise GIS environments with hundreds of users and TB-scale data volumes
