Responsibilities

To prepare and record accurate, reliable and timely monthly financial and cost accounting and payroll data
To provide accurate, reliable and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end reports to regulatory agencies and in-house users of financial, cost accounting and payroll data
To lead the accounting office and to manage and supervise the accounting staff
To prepare all external audits and all relevant tax returns
To perform annual YE closings
To promote and safeguard the welfare of all children and young people in our care and adhere to the school's Child Protection policies

Requirements

Qualification as ‘Geprüfter Bilanzbuchhalter' or a university degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience required
Experience in leading an accounting department
Extensive technical knowledge of financial, cost, tax and payroll accounting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as high cultural sensitivity
Fluency in German and English
Teamplayer
