Responsibilities

Explore All Aspects of Data, Analytics and AI as our new data engineer
Join our team and immerse yourself in a wide range of exciting data, analytics and AI projects. As a key partner to the business, you could help establish the data foundation for reporting on Operations sensor data, provide insights into Purchase statistics, and enable storytelling with the Finance team.
You’ll be involved in every stage of data delivery, from gathering requirements and analyzing needs to work with ETL processes, data warehousing, test and storytelling. Potentially also build AI based tools to assist the organization in achieving higher profitability gains. Additionally, you'll ensure that the BI production environment operates smoothly, guaranteeing that all reports are up to date for our colleagues - a crucial step in our initiatives.

Required Experience: Azure, Data bricks and Power BI
We are seeking a candidate with over 5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure SQL, Databricks and Power BI, who has a keen interest in data, analytics, and AI. You should be adept at maintaining a structured approach throughout the development process, capable of planning projects, and communicating effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

Key Qualifications:

Proficient in developing BI solutions using Microsoft SQL DB, PySpark and DAX
Skilled in discussing solutions with customers and stakeholders
Capable of sketching mock-ups and developing intuitive visualizations
Experienced in building semantic models and using data for storytelling
Able to upskill users and colleagues in Power BI usage
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Experience with Lakehouse and Databricks is a plus, but not required
Eager to learn modern technologies in the dynamic BI field

You will be part of a small, dedicated BI team within Group IT, working closely with business units, external BI partners, and departments globally but primarily across North America and Europe. Our project pipeline covers all business functions, utilizing numerous source systems and diverse data from ERP, sensor, and app sources. Our current data warehouse infrastructure is based on Azure Data Factory, SQL, Databricks and Power BI.
