Responsibilities
Exploration, profiling, cleansing and preprocessing of data for analytics and reporting
Design and management of workflows for storing and retrieving vectorised documents for AI use cases
Application of embedding models to build AI-driven solutions
Leveraging modern AI and machine-learning techniques including large language models and agent-based systems
Design, building and maintenance of scalable ELT pipelines in Snowflake
Development and optimisation of Snowflake data models including schemas, views and curated datasets
Implementation of robust data quality controls including validation, reconciliation, monitoring and alerting
Partnership with central platform and data engineering teams to support Snowflake architecture
Writing high-quality, maintainable, tested and documented code aligned with engineering best practices
Building and maintaining Streamlit applications for self-service data exploration and operational tooling
Translation of business questions into technical solutions delivering actionable insights

Requirements
Strong experience with Snowflake and advanced SQL including query optimisation and analytical data modelling
Knowledge of modern AI and machine-learning techniques including large language models, agent-based systems, embedding modes and document vectorization
Experience developing and maintaining data transformation workflows using dbt within Snowflake
Proficiency in Python for data engineering and application development
Experience building Streamlit applications in an enterprise environment
Familiarity with modern data engineering practices including ELT/ETL patterns, incremental processing, scheduling, observability and automated testing
Strong problem-solving mindset with ability to work independently and manage ambiguity
Strong communication skills for articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Fluency in English both written and spoken
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics or related quantitative discipline
Proven experience in data engineering, analytics engineering or related technical role within cloud-based data platform environment
3–5 years of relevant experience in data engineering or related field within multinational or complex organisational environment
Knowledge of modern AI and machine-learning techniques including large language models, agent-based systems, embedding modes and document vectorization
