Responsibilities

Preparation and delivery of high quality network designs and customer solutions
Definition and agreement of project scope, time, budget and resource estimation
Collaborative work with designers and engineers to resolve design and implementation issues
Provision of technical consultancy for large multinational customers and business partners
Technical coordination or supervision of a global team of network designers
Leadership of matrix (virtual) teams of technical experts for network design solutions
Responsibility for end-to-end technical solutions
Acting as a technical ambassador for the company

Requirements

Ability to meet customers’ needs in line with business requirements
Ability to explain and present difficult technical concepts to various audiences with focus on senior management
Ability to lead a team of network designers and support their professional development
Focus on objectives and required outcomes while delivering service
Cooperative and positive attitude in group settings to achieve common goals
Ability to build strong and reliable relationships with external customers, especially senior management
Excellent customer facing and communication skills
Analytical thinking and designer mindset
Industry accreditation (e.g. Cisco) at professional/expert level in ICT with focus on Service provider or Enterprise networking or equivalent experience
Ability to interpret customer needs and identify solutions to standard and non-standard requirements
Experience in pre-sales activities
Experience in creating high quality technical designs, customer facing proposals and detailed cost models
Good commercial acumen and knowledge of commercial and financial processes
Experience in leading virtual teams in a global environment
Knowledge of MPLS and MPLS VPN solutions (L2 and L3)
In depth knowledge of LAN technologies such as stack, VSS, VPC, Nexus technologies
In depth knowledge of WLAN in Enterprise networks such as WLC, anchor, BYOD, FlexConnect
Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite, VLSM, IP address allocation and routing protocols (RIPv2, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
Knowledge of multicast protocols like PIM, SSM and IGRP
Knowledge of Quality of Service for LAN and WAN environments
Technical competency covering routers, switches, routing protocols, multicast, QoS, network management platforms
Skills with diagnostic tools including interpretation and analysis of network management systems and router/switch diagnostics
Fluent English language skills

Nice-to-have

Planning and implementation knowledge across wider ICT infrastructure elements such as Security, WAN optimization, Load Balancing
Conversational level in any European language (e.g. French, German)
