Responsibilities

Main responsibilities
- Performing daily accounting tasks and ensuring the ledger is always up to date in line with current regulations
- Recording accounting and financial documents in SAP
- Completing month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
- Preparing statutory financial statements
- Providing regular and ad-hoc financial data reports
- Supporting and guiding accounting colleagues when needed
- Acting as a point of contact for international finance stakeholders
- Supporting process improvements and standardisation
- Supervise, guide and train a team of 3 AP Accountants

Requirements

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Registered chartered accountant qualification
- Relevant work experience based in SSC sector
- Higher education degree in finance, accounting or economics
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Precise, reliable and structured working style
- Fluency in English; German knowledge is an advantage

Company info

Our client is a global medical and hygiene products manufacturer with a long-standing international presence and a rapidly growing Hungarian subsidiary. They are seeking a dedicated Chief Accountant who will play a key role in building and stabilising the internal accounting function.

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for the full scope of Hungarian accounting activities while also supervising a team of three accountants (primarily AP tasks).
