Responsibilities

Analysis and understanding of business, functional and technical requirements
Coordination of testing activities within a Scrum Software Development Team
Definition, maintenance and continuous improvement of the technical and conceptual testing framework
Planning of testing activities based on project requirements
Creation, execution and maintenance of manual and automated test cases
Development, enhancement and maintenance of automated tests for functional, regression and integration testing
Continuous increase of test automation and improvement of automated regression test coverage
Identification, documentation and tracking of defects
Ensuring appropriate test data creation and maintenance
Maintaining traceability between requirements, test cases and defects
Review and improvement of holistic test concept beyond the individual Scrum Team
Evaluation and introduction of new testing and automation tools and technologies
Establishment and support of performance and security testing practices
Ensuring proper structuring, documentation and maintenance of testing documentation and artifacts
Implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of testing processes and standards
Acting as a go-to person for Product Owners, Project Managers and testers regarding testing-related topics
Providing risk-based testing recommendations and communication of testing status, risks and results to stakeholders
Organization of testing-related status meetings and preparation of status reports
Support and mentoring of junior testers and acting as a coach and sparring partner for complex testing topics
Promotion of software quality, knowledge sharing and best practices within the team

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Engineering, Test Coordination or Test Management
Practical experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Xray and Jira
Strong programming skills in Java
Solid experience in API testing and hands-on knowledge of tools such as Postman, Bruno or Insomnia
Good knowledge of SQL and experience writing and executing SQL queries
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Rest Assured, Apache HttpClient, JUnit 5 or TestNG
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment
Structured and analytical way of thinking and ability to identify risks and prioritize testing activities accordingly
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proactive mindset and willingness to continuously improve testing processes and practices
Very good written and spoken English skills

Nice-to-have

Experience in the financial sector such as banking, payments or related areas
Interest in mentoring colleagues and sharing testing knowledge and experience
