Responsibilities

Exciting opportunities await you – as Head of Competence Center IT Support, you will play a key role in shaping and advancing our group-wide IT support within Group IT Operations. In this strategic leadership position, you will take overall responsibility for the continuous optimization of support structures across regions, ensuring efficient collaboration, innovation, and an excellent user experience across all regions. Your further tasks include:

  • Lead the Group Competence Center IT Support within Group IT Operations and build and manage an international, interdisciplinary team
  • Drive the strategic and operational development of Group IT support
  • Define and improve global standards, tools, and processes
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality IT support across all regions and balance global service quality with local flexibility
  • Act as a central interface between IT teams, business units, and end users
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners across cultures
  • Oversee ITIL-based incident, request, and problem management
  • Responsibility for planning, managing, and monitoring the budget as well as ensuring sustainable cost management
  • Monitor and optimize performance using KPIs, SLAs, and user feedback
  • Promote knowledge management, training, and self-service tools
  • Identify and implement new technologies and trends in IT support

Requirements

With this profile, you convince us – if you have a degree in informatics, business informatics, or a
comparable qualification, a track record of several years in establishing and optimizing standardized
support processes in a global, multicultural context, in-depth knowledge of IT service management,
particularly based on ITIL, and analytical prowess to manage and improve metrics and workflows
effectively, we warmly invite you to apply. Among your further skills and competencies are:

  • Leadership excellence combined with experience in heading interdisciplinary, multicultural teams
  • ITIL Foundation certificate(s)
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, additional languages advantageous
  • Communication proficiency for acting as a link between various stakeholders
  • Problem-solving finesse and enthusiasm for innovations, continuously questioning and improving procedures
  • Ability to actively moderate complex changes and successfully accompany change management processes
  • High level of initiative, commitment, and strategic foresight
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel globally for worldwide presence and operationality
