In this role you will ensure timely and accurate recording of Accounts Payables into the ledgers, prepare and support documents for period close and ensure that all invoices are approved appropriately and paid on time, whilst adhering to policies and procedures at all times. You will also provide a helpdesk facility for any queries from Outsourced Service Providers/Suppliers/BP business staff.

  • Monitor accounts / payment runs.
  • Workflow user support / administration, whilst handling internal and external queries.
  • Handle invoice processing, other special accounts, pre-payments with bank guarantee, insolvency, default interest, signatures for payment authorization
  • Align accruals and deferrals and validate general ledger accounts.
  • Invoice verification, processing of Purchase invoices with and without Purchase Order, preparation of manual posting documents, posting against provisions.
  • Work closely with assigned Business Units, customers as well as contact with Outsourced Service Providers and Business Facing Financials.
  • Interact with partners in a professional, friendly and efficient manner and raise concerns about meeting service levels or deadlines.
  • Establish and foster strong business relationships with relevant stakeholders and internal business partners.
  • Plan, implement and support operational optimization, continuous improvement and business perfection-oriented projects and initiatives. Support the development of a continuous improvement culture throughout immediate teams.
  • Language proficiency in English and Polish is essential (ideally at B2 as minimum).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with particular focus on client responsiveness.
  • Previous accounting experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong time management and organisation skills.
  • Basic Excel knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Result-oriented personality and capability to overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to keep deadlines whilst under pressure without compromising accuracy.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Capability to work in a team or individually if required.
     

Desirable Criteria:
 

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or related fields (e.g. Finance, Mathematics).
  • SAP user experience.
  • Quality Control & Assurance focus.
  • Understanding of the Accounts Payable mechanics.
