• an excellent degree (. or equivalent) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics or a related field (e.g. Electrical Engineering)
• strong mathematical understanding
• experience in programming, preferably in Python

• Operation of a suite of on-line mass spectrometers (ToF-ACSM-X, VOCUS-PTR-MS) and further instrumentation to measure atmospheric composition in the gas and particle phases.
• Operation of offline instrumentation such as filter samplers and cloud water collectors during dedicated campaigns.

• Advising the Instrument Principal Investigator, Prof. Kirpal Nandra, on strategies to optimize the scientific performance of the instrument
• Leading the development and refinement of the WFI science case
• Chairing the WFI Science Team (WST)
