• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, proforma, delivery advice and bank reconciliations
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with local accounting standards

• Execution of the preparatory monthly payroll processes for payroll accounting for our Austrian locations
• Support for a smooth end-to-end payroll process

• Verify invoices and supporting documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper account codes.

• Produce timely and reliable monthly management reporting files based on input from the assigned business unit.
• Identify and investigate variances against benchmarks, provide analysis of differences, and explore potential problems with non-financial department heads/business units.

• Lead Fixed Asset accounting activities for companies in scope within Harman’s global organization
• Coordinate closing activities and ensure deadlines are met
• Answer ad-hoc questions regarding Fixed Asset accounting
• Enforce compliance with Harman policies and internal/external audit standards

Collaborate with the local and the wider, international finance team on using the new accounting system (for internal management reporting purposes only - local statutory reporting and tax is handled by external accountants)...

• Ensuring that all bookkeeping activities are completed in time, accurately and according to statutory regulations and internal month-end procedure;
• Being directly involved in the Statutory Reporting function, liaising with State Bodies to ensure compliance with latest relevant legislation;

• Prepare monthly Settlements, Bilateral Deal positions, and end-of-period Deal True-ups in line with departmental priorities and timelines.
• Manage a portfolio of complex and large carriers, overseeing the resolution of billing and settlement disputes efficiently and collaboratively.
