• Design and implementation of complex enterprise-grade software solutions
• Definition and evolution of application, data, and integration architectures
• Design and architecture of service-oriented and event-driven systems
• Development of distributed, resilient, and highly available platforms

• Your responsibility: From day one, you'll own your stories and take end-to-end responsibility for your tasks.
• Your team: You'll work in a small team of no more than five full-stack engineers. Like this, our teams are more efficient and can move fast.

Architecture & Infrastructure: Set standards for infrastructure, access, and deployment with IT, security, and the ML & AI engineers. Build all AI platform components with Terraform on top of the AWS foundation and GitLab setup of our cloud engineering team....

• Design, develop and maintain document templates in an OMS / CCM environment
• Create layouts aligned with corporate design (CI/CD) standards
• Clarify document requirements with business stakeholders and translate them into solutions

• Take ownership of the operational delivery of the Azure Foundation within a broader cloud transformation program.
• Translate existing technical requirements and architecture designs into structured work packages, project plans, milestones and deliverables.

Design and maintain comprehensive solution architecture and technical design documentation, while delivering robust integration and backend solutions for enterprise applications and services...

• Designing test strategies, test plans and test cases for complex, distributed systems
• Building and maintaining automated test suites (functional, integration, regression and end-to-end)
• Testing APIs and backend services, including validating data flows end to end

Predictive ML: Build models for lead generation, demand forecasting, residual value forecasting, portfolio steering, and fraud detection....

CI/CD ownership: Own and evolve our shared GitHub Actions platform so it stays maintainable, reliable and easy to adopt across the team's repositories. Our stack is mainly Python, so you'll need a solid grasp of the Python packaging and tooling ecosystem. Occasionally you'll extend the platform to...

• Surgical microscopes creating surgical augmented reality
• Ultrasound devices creating 3D ultrasound imaging
• Brainlab's own Robotic Arm (Cirq)

• Develop and maintain embedded software for ARM-based SoC and FPGA control platforms.
• Configure and integrate embedded Linux/PetaLinux, including board-support packages, bootloaders, device trees and peripheral drivers.

• Design, extend, and maintain a high‑performance Yocto‑based Linux distribution tailored for cutting‑edge embedded platforms
• Configure, optimize, and support bootloaders, Linux kernels, and BSPs for custom hardware solutions

Building efficient and scalable ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various structured and unstructured sources (databases, APIs, streaming platforms) into BigQuery and Cloud Storage...

• Create and implement test strategies and concepts for all test levels in embedded, cloud, mobile and web applications
• Improve our development and testing processes, methods and tools, and support the development teams
• Plan, set up and maintain test environments and automation frameworks

• Owning the technical architecture on cloud and platform programmes from design through to production, across AWS and Azure.
• Leading engineering teams on delivery, typically three to eight engineers, through mentoring, code review and technical decision making rather than line management.

You architect cloud and hardware solutions to scale AI workloads across GPUs and accelerators, while optimizing storage and networking for throughput, resilience, and cost efficiency....

• Design, implementation & maintenance of applications and services for our billing tracking products
• Collaboration with requirements engineers and business analysts to detail and clarify understanding and requirements

• You understand our platform architecture, existing integrations and tech stack (C#/.NET, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP/Azure) deeply enough to independently plan and ship features and integrations.
• You've shipped your first hardware provider integration or significantly improved an existing one.

You understand our platform architecture, existing systems and tech stack (C#/.NET, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP/Azure) deeply enough to independently plan and ship features....

• Design, develop, and integrate novel components, for example for establishing trust (e.g. SPIFFE / SPIRE), securing network connections (e.g. mTLS, IPSec), and secure device onboarding (e.g. FIDO Device Onboarding).
• Maintain and continually enhance our existing software written in Rust.
