Responsibilities

Implementing signal processing and optimization algorithms in C/C++.
Testing and comparing the performance of various algorithms, and find their correct parametrization for a given use-case
Close cooperation with the development team.

Requirements

Enrolled student in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or similar
Very good knowledge of Python, knowledge of C and preferably C++
Confident using Linux, Git, and Bash
Particular interest for signal processing and algorithms
Very good knowledge of English language, preferably additional German language
Willingness to learn
Documention of work accurately

We provide to our Customers solutions that can save human lives by detecting incoming fires in tunnels, buildings and industrial environments; solutions allowing safe and optimal usage of power cables circuits, industrial reactors, induction furnaces and many others assets, by constantly monitoring thermal and mechanical stress; solutions alerting to incoming damages related to third parties or to natural events.

Thanks to our in-house developed laser-based hardware and software, the self-constructed fiber optic cables that serve as distributed sensors and our high technical know-how, we can offer customers an optimally suited product to their application at any time.

We are currently looking for a Working Student (f/m/d) in R&D Firmware for a working time of 16-20 hours per week (full-time work during lecture-free periods may be possible).
