WAN Network Engineer

This position is responsible for WAN vendor governance, delivery progress tracking, regular operation meeting management, and network operational cost optimization. No daily hands-on network operation or troubleshooting work is required. This role requires strong WAN resource insight and peer vendor network evaluation capabilities. Outstanding cross-party communication skills and fluent business English are the core mandatory requirements to support global vendor collaboration and continuous cost-down initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Track WAN vendor delivery milestones and SLA performance, identify potential delivery risks, and drive vendors to complete rectification and closed-loop improvement.
• Organize and host regular operation review meetings with internal teams and global vendors, sort out action items, and follow up on full-process implementation.
• Analyze WAN cost structure, explore cost optimization opportunities, and promote sustainable reduction of network operational expenses.
• Maintain acute WAN resource insight, continuously track regional network resource layout, coverage and service quality.
• Conduct systematic evaluation and benchmarking of peer vendors’ network resources and service capabilities, output analysis reports to support vendor selection and business negotiation.
• Act as the primary communication interface for overseas WAN vendors to ensure efficient and smooth cross-border cooperation.

• Top-tier communication & coordination capability (Core Requirement): Excellent at multi-party alignment, meeting organization, problem solving and task delivery driving.
• Fluent business English (Mandatory): Able to independently conduct English meetings, draft business documents, and communicate seamlessly with global vendors.
• WAN resource insight & peer evaluation capability (Key Requirement): Able to analyze existing WAN resource quality and systematically assess competitor network service strengths and gaps.
• Possess basic WAN knowledge including SD-WAN, MPLS and leased line; no hands-on operation or troubleshooting skills required.
• Result-oriented with strong cost awareness, execution ability, progress tracking and risk judgment capability.
