In this role You will:
The Treasury Trade Operations Senior Analyst is responsible for dealing with all bp's treasury trading counterparties and to verify all trades match prior to cash settlement as part of back-office activities.
This role require an good understanding of the various treasury trading instruments ( money markets , FX markets, etc…) and good communication skills to face all bp's financial markets trading counterparties back office teams.
In this role, you will review exceptions queues in the Treasury trading system – TMS (WallStreet FX) and manage the daily relationship with relevant internal and external counterparties to agree the trades.
You will work on highly critical daily cut-offs depending on the currencies and trading benches.
This must be performed prior to the daily cash positioning process to allow the Treasury traders to optimize bp's liquidity.
In this role You will:
- Responsible for the preparation and execution of all deal confirmations in the TMS ( Wallstreet FX) for a range of treasury trading financial products.
- Monitor and resolve exceptions in the TMS for i) automated confirmations matching and ii) manual confirmations matching
- Preparing Collateral CSA (Credit Support Annex for derivatives) margins calculations and recording and confirmation in the TMS.
- Calculate and perform daily FX netting balance confirmations for all three trading benches (Singapore/ London/ Chicago.
- Confirm and create settlement entries in the TMS for swaps.
- Perform Money market loans confirmations on daily basis
- Liaise with other teams to ensure smooth operations; develop and maintain robust Front Office and stakeholder relationship
- Manage the documentation of business processes which meet the requirements of FBT in support of the standardisation and simplification of the trade operations process models applied to support the Treasury Trading teams
- Understands the importance of controls and the obligation to report control deficiencies such as fraud, potential for failure and failure of internal controls relevant to the Control Process.
- Handle deviations and exceptions and escalate any significant control breakdown.
What You will need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or another quantitative field experience
- Fluency in English, other European languages could be an advantage
- Strong understanding of treasury financial instruments (e.g. FX and interest rates products, Swaps, futures, Forwards, Commercial paper...)
- Good technical skills (MS Office)
- Interest in standard financial trading instruments
- Ability to be accurate with good attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work and be organized, to multi-task, to work under pressure and align with strict SLA’s
- Ability to understand the flow of data between systems and how changes may impact the trading and liquidity management processes
- Strong stakeholder management/customer service capabilities.
