What success looks like in this role:

The Transition Manager is responsible for assuring the following actions take place in line with contract schedules.

In this role you will be responsible for Project/Program planning and management, Deal On-boarding, Resource Management, Knowledge transfer, Financial functions, Solution validation, Governance, Price costing validation, Client acceptance and transition plan.

Your day-to-day tasks in this role will include:

  • Review and analyze project proposals, contracts, and documents. Conduct engaging on-boarding sessions for project stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement effective communication plans for the entire transition cycle.
  • Validate staffing levels, skills, and non-people resources.
  • Ensure all necessary resources are seamlessly in place for steady-state operations.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, data gathering, client interviews, and site visits.
  • Establish transparent project accounting structures and budgets.
  • Develop processes for variance/reporting, ARC’s /RRC’s, and change control.
  • Validate assumptions used in project solution development.
  • Produce comprehensive gap and risk analyses with effective contingency plans.
  • Create a dynamic business relationship mapping model.
  • Document governance structure and processes for optimal project oversight.
  • Validate assumptions used in project pricing/costing development.
  • Produce insightful gap analysis and risk analysis with contingency plans.
  • Develop meticulous project plans, milestones, deliverables, and timeframes.
  • Implement a strategic plan for a seamless hand-off to steady-state management.
  • Craft and deliver a formal Transition Plan to the client.
  • Collaborate with the client to review the Transition Plan, document changes, and obtain approval.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Management/Administration, or equivalent
  • 8 – 12 years of related experience and/or training
  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale outsourcing transitions
  • Exceptional communication skills to foster collaboration
  • Experience setting up and leading a Project Management Office (PMO)
  • Outstanding project management and planning skills
  • Solid financial acumen and understanding
  • Previous experience in managing third-party suppliers

Nice to have qualifications:

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
  • ITIL training and certification
  • PRINCE2 certification
  • MSP certifications
