Responsibilities

The ITA is now looking for a committed and passionate full-time (40 hours per week) Testing Assistant to join the Testing Department.

To provide administrative support to the ITA’s Testing Department in its daily operations, with a focus on supporting the testing department in data processing, interaction with stakeholders managing doping control paperwork and assisting in ITA’s quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and WADA’s international standards.

Key responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update the ITA’s internal database and filing systems as well as WADA’s Anti-Doping Administration & Management System (ADAMS).
  • Monitor the accuracy of data entered in various databases and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Receive, review and store testing documentation (Doping Control Forms, Reports, Testing Pool inclusion and exclusion letters etc.).
  • Identify and report non-conformities in accordance with the ITA’s standards and policies.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders (e.g., athletes, athlete support personnel, anti-doping organisations, sample collection agencies, national federations, WADA laboratories) and provide them with high level customer service.
  • Work on specific projects as required.

Requirements

  • Academic degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills, other languages are an asset.
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role.
  • Valid working/residency permit for EU citizens.
  • Strong interest and/or participation in sport, with a sensitivity to sports ethics and the issue of drugs and doping in sport.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail, ability to set and manage priorities.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Ability to efficiently process large volumes of data via the available informatic systems and remain focused while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Customer service and quality oriented, team-player, can do attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, combined with a strong sense of discretion, confidentiality and handling of sensitive and confidential data.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a remote team.
  • IT literate (MS Excel in particular as well as other MS Office tools).

It provides anti-doping services to International Sports Federations (IFs), Major Event Organisers (MEOs) and Anti-Doping Organisations (ADOs) that wish to delegate their anti-doping programmes to a body that implements high quality anti-doping programs with increased transparency and independence.
