The Vehicle Motion business serves customers worldwide as a leading supplier of holistic chassis solutions with a product portfolio of steering, braking, occupant safety systems and sensors. Vehicle Motion’s mission is to make driving safer, more dynamic, comfortable, and exciting.
With our central project PJ-VIP (Value Stream IT & Processes), we are responsible for the digital transformation of manufacturing in the Vehicle Motion business with over 25 production locations worldwide. Our project goal is to harmonize the manufacturing IT and its processes in all Vehicle Motion plants.
One exciting task we are faced with is the implementation of new software modules from a MES system called Nexeed Industrial Application System. The Position Test & Release Expert is located in Maklár but provides service for all plants within Vehicle Motion (VM) in an international environment. Task:
Your tasks:
► Coordination of test plans for newly developed software modules and other integrated IT systems.
► Create release plans and being responsible for final release.
► Managing a test user team to ensure timely and budget-compliant testing.
► Collaboration with project leads and experts to align testing with requirements and timelines.
► Design and implementation of efficient testing methodologies and best practices.
► Identifying and managing testing risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
► Coordination of documentation, including test plans, cases and results.
► Communicating of testing progress and issues to stakeholders.
► Managing defects and tracking their resolution.
► Sharing experience within the team.
► Performing service assignments.
► Travel and provide on-site consulting as required.
Overall, the job requires a combination of technical, project management, collaboration, and communication skills, as well as a good understanding of testing and release best practices.
Expectation:
► Degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
► Software testing experience: experience in creating and executing test plans for software modules and integrated IT systems, including knowledge of various testing methodologies.
► Strong project management skills: ability to manage a test user team, ensuring timely and budget-compliant testing, handling risks and issues.
► Collaboration and communication: excellent skills in working with project leads, rollout managers, experts and stakeholders, fostering effective teamwork and communication.
► Testing best practices: knowledge of designing and implementing efficient testing methodologies, including test planning, case design, defect management and reporting.
► Technical proficiency: familiarity with testing tools (e.g., JIRA, HPALM) and software development processes (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, DevOps)
► Fluent English, both written and spoken.
