Responsibilities

Your Role

In this role, you will support customer and internal projects through the analysis of natural and synthetic fragrances in market samples using GC and GC/MS. You will be responsible for sample preparation, method development, basic fragrance formulation, and the maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical systems.

Analyze natural and synthetic fragrances in market samples using GC and GC/MS, including sample preparation and clean‑up
Develop, adapt, and optimize analytical methods
Create basic fragrance formulae to support perfumer creations
Maintain, service, and troubleshoot GC and GC/MS systems
Ensure analytical quality, data integrity, and proper documentation of results
Provide analytical support to internal customers, manage requests, and meet deadlines

Requirements

About You

Completed education as Chemical Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant/in), CTA, or equivalent scientific/technical qualification
Alternatively, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific/technical field is also acceptable.
5-10 years of hands‑on experience in GC analysis, ideally GC/MS
Fluent German and English (both mandatory), written and spoken
Strong practical background in instrumental analysis
Solid experience with GC/MS systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting
Confident handling of analytical software (e.g. OpenChrom)
Good working knowledge of MS Office
