As the Technical Safety Program Leader, you will be responsible for providing critical technical leadership and strategic direction for all Technical Safety (TS) efforts across our site. This pivotal role involves overseeing, monitoring, tracking, and coordinating comprehensive safety initiatives to ensure the highest standards of protection for our personnel, assets, and environment. The key technical safety areas encompass Process Safety, Combustion/Thermal Safety, Pressure Vessels, Chemical Systems, Welding, and ATEX. These disciplines collectively ensure the safe management of hazardous processes, materials, and equipment to prevent incidents and protect personnel.

• Identifies, prioritizes, and eliminates TS-related losses and inefficiencies with technology owners.
• Ensures qualified system owners and backups for each TS technology.
• Identifies, monitors, and ensures reporting of key leading indicators for each TS technology.
• Establishes processes to verify leading indicators and system functionality.
• Ensures identified priorities, action plans, and accountability for each TS discipline.
• Monitors action plans, securing resources and removing barriers for timely implementation.
• Identifies leading indicator limits, highlights and addresses gaps, holding technology owners accountable, and providing support/training.
• Ensures systems for identifying TS near misses/incidents, oversees adequate investigations, and confirms action item implementation to prevent recurrence.
• Provides TS inputs for projects.
• Monitors TS legal changes and ensures site compliance.

• Graduated as chemical or environmental engineer (Bsc or Msc)

• Prior experience in similar role

• Your English and Hungarian language skills are fluent in written and oral

• You have strong leadership and excellent communication skills

• Are able to act as a role model in workplace safety culture.

• Characterized by strong problem-solving skills, systematic approach, process orientation, analytical thinking, initiative mindset, flexibility

• You like to work in a team, but at the same time willing to work independently

• You are open and motivated to acquire new knowledge as an engineer and manager

• You use Microsoft Office tools at a professional level
