Responsibilities
The Division of B Cell Immunology studies the molecular and cellular mechanisms affecting the quality of immune responses to vaccination for malaria in preclinical models and humans.
The work includes diverse immunological, molecular, cellular, and biochemical assays. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and implement mouse immunizations (this will encompass at least 50% of the work) as well as molecular assessments of the antibody and T cell responses using ELISA, FACS, single-cell sorting, and expression cloning of antigen receptors. You will plan the experiments in close collaboration with other members of the lab and national and international partners and communicate the results to the wider team. Data analysis and visualization using Excel, Prism, and PowerPoint is expected.

- B Cell Immunology
To guide the development of novel therapies, the Division of B Cell Immunology studies how antigen-receptor specificity determines the clonal evolution of human B and T cell responses in infectious diseases and cancer. The overarching goal is to gain fundamental insights into the molecular and cellular principles that underlie protective B cell immune responses and to translate our findings into clinical application.
