Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day operations, deployment execution, and maintenance of enterprise platform environments.

Deployment Execution

- Execution and automation of Ansible playbooks for platform deployments and related actions.
- Execute environment-specific deployments across internal and customer sites
- Manage inventory files and host variables
- Coordinate deployment windows with stakeholders

Operational Tasks

- Monitor system health and respond to alerts
- Perform scheduled maintenance (patching, restarts)
- Manage backup and recovery procedures
- Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues
- Rotate certificates and manage secrets

Documentation & Reporting

- Document deployment procedures and runbooks
- Maintain change logs for customer environments
- Report on system performance and capacity

Requirements

Core Skills (Required)

- Linux administration (RHEL / Rocky Linux 8 and 10)
- Ansible playbook execution and troubleshooting
- SSH key management and secure access
- Basic Bash/Shell scripting

Database Administration

- PostgreSQL administration (replication, backups, pg_hba.conf)
- Oracle Database operations (schema management, backups, SID configuration)

Application Stack

- Java application deployment (JDK, Tomcat, keystores/truststores)
- Apache HTTPD / Nginx configuration
- Service management (systemd)
- Log analysis and troubleshooting

Middleware

- Kafka topic/ACL management
- Zookeeper cluster health monitoring
- Redis/Memcached cache operations

Monitoring & Observability

- ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) - query logs, manage indices
- Nagios/NRPE alert response and check configuration
- Filebeat configuration

Security

- Ansible Vault operations (encrypt/decrypt)
- KeePass credential retrieval
- SSL certificate installation and renewal

Nice-to-have

- KVM or VMware vCenter/vSphere console operations
- Docker container basics
- ITIL/change management processes
