We are seeking an experienced and highly proactive Strategic Buyer to support the localization and development of our supplier base, with a primary focus on Hungary and Europe. This role is critical to strengthening our supply chain resilience, improving cost competitiveness, and supporting ongoing and future manufacturing and assembly operations.
The Strategic Buyer will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and managing suppliers end-to-end — from initial sourcing and evaluation through negotiation and contract signing — with a strong emphasis on localization of metal, plastic, and electronic components.
This position requires a hands-on, agile professional with strong ownership, capable of operating independently and driving tangible results in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and localize suppliers, primarily in Hungary and Europe, for metal, plastic, and electronic components
• Lead supplier sourcing activities end-to-end, including market research, supplier identification, RFQ process, evaluation, negotiation, and contracting
• Develop and implement supplier localization strategies to support manufacturing and assembly operations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers across Europe and Asia
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and long-term supply agreements
• Support supply chain development related to production transfers, localization, and operational expansion
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacity, quality standards, and cost competitiveness
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production, quality, and global procurement teams
• Continuously monitor supplier performance and drive improvements where necessary

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Strategic Buyer in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience working with European and Asian suppliers
• Strong sourcing experience in metal, plastic, and electronic components
• Experience in multinational companies
• Proven track record in supplier localization and supply chain development
• Experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, or production transfer projects
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
• Highly proactive, agile, and results-oriented mindset
• Strong ownership, initiative, and ability to work independently

• Experience in industrial equipment, automotive, medical, or electronics manufacturing
• Technical background or strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes
• Experience in supplier development and qualification
