Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to implement the company's purchasing strategy, increase cost efficiency (TCO approach) and ensure the long-term security of the supply chain.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Supplier Management and Sourcing: Search, qualification and competition of potential suppliers (RFQ/RFP processes). Proactively maintain existing relationships and conduct supplier performance reviews (SRM).
• Negotiations and Contracts: Lead complex price negotiations and conclude annual agreements. Develop contractual terms with the legal department, with special attention to commercial terms and Incoterms parities.
Strategic Planning and TCO: Optimize procurement processes and lead cost reduction projects. Prepare decisions based on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model (considering not only the price, but all the costs involved).
Cross-functional collaboration: Closely liaise with other departments (R&D, Quality, Finance, Logistics) to launch new products and refine technical specifications.
Risk management and supply security: Identify alternative sources (second sourcing), analyze supply chain risks and optimize inventory levels to ensure safe production.
Reporting and system management: Track procurement KPIs (e.g. savings, supplier quality), create analyses and maintain precise procurement data in the ERP system.
Sustainability (ESG): Screen suppliers based on ethical and environmental considerations and enforce corporate sustainability goals in the supply chain.

Requirements

Qualifications: High level professional qualification (in economics or engineering).
Language skills: Confident and competent English language skills (verbal and written).
Professional experience: At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in strategic procurement, supplier management and complex negotiation techniques.
IT skills: Confident use of MS Office (especially Excel) and experience in an integrated enterprise management system (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
Professional competencies:

Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making.
Project management approach.
Basic knowledge of contract law and international trade.

Personal competencies: Determined, assertive action, excellent communication and conflict management skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
